| The Old Rectory has a homely ambiance with no unnecessary restrictions. | Residents are encouraged to invite their relatives and friends to visit them in their room, public room or garden in suitable weather. Such visitors should make their presence known to the staff on arrival when suitable refreshments will be offered. A private lounge for entertaining visitors is also available on request. | The Old Rectory offers 24 hour care of the highest standard, given by dedicated and experienced staff. | Fire Precautions are also of the highest standard and the most up-to-date fire equipment is installed. All rooms have a staff call system with power and TV aerial sockets The Old Rectory is a non smoking house and is registered with Dorset County Council. All members off staff are trained to NVQ level 2 in care or higher and receive continuous additional training. |

| Prospective residents | From time to time the home is able to offer a vacant room for full occupation or short term respite care. Relatives of prospective residents may make full inquiries and arrange a visit to the home. If required, proprietors will be happy to visit prospective residents in their own home. A request for a trial stay of one or two weeks can usually be accommodated Residents may, if they wish, bring personal items of furniture with them to make their new surroundings more homelike. Telephones can be installed by arrangement with BT Personal copies of daily newspapers and magazines may be ordered though the home. |
